Story behind Photos
My experience with lobsters include working on lobster boats, at sea food markets, buying lobster directly from large fishing vessels, packing and shipping them in airplane containers. I am fascinated by the variations found in these sea crustaceans and love to photograph the unique and rare ones to educate and share with others.
Lobster, Mr. Big Claw
These photos are of two lobsters that were both 18 pounds and had enormous claws. This is the reason for “Mr. Big Claw” name. The average size lobster served at local restaurants is 1 1/2 – 2 pounds. I had great fun quickly rushing about to capture these images by the tides edge.
